Esther Simmons

Alias: Mary Simmons

Esther Simmons met a charismatic man while in college named Malefick. She studied comparative religion at Western Michigan and they met at a Satanist group she attended out of curiosity. She was enthralled with him immediately and listened intently to his stories about a future hellspawn that would be both destroyer and savior.

Malefick intended to control this hellspawn and use him to take control of the universe, and he informed Esther that he wanted her to be its mother. He had her marry Bernard Simmons (who was to be the father) thereby combining two bloodlines that he had followed for centuries.

Esther never loved Bernard, but did as Malefick told her out of the hope that her son would one day be the powerful hellspawn Malefick prophesized, and that Malefick would one day return for her.

She and Bernard went on to have 3 boys; Marc, Al and Richard. After the boys left home, Esther and Bernard were trapped within their home for decades due to a spell created by Malefick.

When Al finally returned home, Esther was overjoyed to find he had indeed become the god-like hellspawn. She was also pleased when Malefick returned to her to introduce her grand-daughter Morana.

After Malefick had gone once again, and left alone with a husband she didn't love, Mary turned to the bottle and became an alcoholic. As her husband passed away in a hospital bed and wondered where his "Mary" was (perhaps her middle name?), Esther drank her cares away at a nearby bar.
