Slayton
Slayton fancied himself a warlock. During one of his rituals, he stumbled across what he believed to be a hole in the balance of power between Heaven and Hell.

He came to believe that this hole would be filled by something given enough time, as nature abhors a vacuum and such. To speed things along, he created The Group: a coven of 13 people who agreed to consume one another until there was only one person remaining.

This final person would then be the vessel through which a beast would come to fill the void, a beast he called Urizen. Unfortunately for Slayton, he was the first of the Group to be chosen to be eaten.

Solomon Pure

A leader of vampires (and likely the brother of the slain fellow vampire leader Simon Pure). Solomon was confronted by the remaining two Old Guard brothers and offered a chance to set aside his disagreements with Bludd and work together.

Solomon assumed that Bludd's offer of a truce meant that either Bludd was weak and knew that he could not defeat Pure, or that Bludd had found something so valuable that it could not be obtained without Pure's help. Either way, Solomon thought it would be "fun" and agreed.

After meeting with Bludd and visiting the newly discovered Dead Zone, Pure witnessed the Redeemer slaughtering some of Bludd's vampire clan and did nothing to stop the carnage.

Soul Crusher

A mysterious scarred figure of some wealth and power. The Soul Crusher was seen in a large library, stocked with ancient books, which he seemed to be transcribing in multiple languages.

After he sent Shade to offer the business arrangement with Mr. Maitlin, he was disheartened to learn that Maitlin declined. He then decided that perhaps he'd need to pay Maitlin a visit personally, and selected one of several gas masks to wear.

Upon visiting Mr. Maitlin's home, the Soul Crusher gassed Maitlin's son to death.

Later, Soul Crusher tracked down Cyan, hoping to locate her kidnapper. In the process, he destroyed her school bus, nearly killing the children inside. When he was attacked by Spawn, Soul Crusher narrowly escaped through the sewers.

After Spawn sealed off the Dead Zones, Soul Crusher attacked him once again (using Cy-Gor as bait), and Spawn nearly killed him. Ironically, it was Cy-Gor that had Spawn spare his life.
