Mr. Maitlin

A businessman who met with a man calling himself Shade, to discuss the buyout of a company. But when Shade makes adjustments to the deal that involve money laundering and involving the Ramus Corporation, Maitlin gets spooked and walks away.

Later, he came home to discover his son dead - gassed by the Soul Crusher.

Mr. Murray
Mr. Murray was living in St. Anthony's hospital on an oxygen ventilator. He had acute emphysema due to smoking from a young age and he nearly died when St. Anthony's was destroyed by a series of explosions. Luckily for him, he was transferred out of the destruction to another hospital in the same ambulance as Jim Downing.

Miraculously, something about being near Jim cured Mr. Murray's disease entirely, and after a few days he walked out with the lungs of an Olympian. Later, he recounted his recovery to reporter Marc Rosen.

A childhood neighbor of Al Simmons' family. When Mammon first came to the Simmons' house in the guise of Malefick, he encouraged young Al to conduct a vivisection on Mrs. Bloomingdale's poor cat Puddles.

Mrs. Byrd

A lonely old woman who sought the attention of Sam and Twitch. While working as private detectives, she hired them to look into her "abduction by aliens." She fed them an elaborate story about visitors from space, which Sam and Twitch were obliged to humor her as she was one of their only paying customers at the time.

Not long after she first visited them, she shot her husband in the face while watching the X-Files. She apparently had come to believe the show was real. Though by all appearances she was insane, just to be safe Twitch decided to investigate further and rule out an insurance-payoff scheme.

The wife of Benny Chen, an elderly gentleman who was healed by Jim Downing. Despite having not felt better in years, there was a strange aura around Mr. Chen which apparently could only be seen by Daniel Kilgore: A priest investigating Downing's patients.

Mrs. Kulbiczi

Wife of the man now known as the Freak. Her husband had a habit of disappearing from time to time, and when she told him she didn't want to have kids, it made things worse.

Eventually she left him and his grip on reality faded. He was committed to a mental facility and Mrs. Kulbiczi tried to move on with her life. Her husband escaped from time to time and she was called in to help find him, but her willingness to help dwindled as time went on.

Mrs. Welland *

Christopher Welland's mother. One day when Christopher left home to go to his grandmother's house, he promised his mom he would be home by 6. Along the way, he decided to climb the old water tower and fell in.

Later, his mother found him struggling to stay afloat and dove in after him. She tried to keep him above the water until help came, but must have blacked out because young Christopher drowned.

Upon his death, the Greenlady appeared to his mother and asked that she relinquish Christopher to her. She said that she had need of him, but would one day send him back to him. Christopher's mother agreed and waited anxiously in the afterlife for Christopher to return.

Just when all hope seemed lost, Christopher did finally return to her to tell her he was ok and tell her he loved her.

Mrs. Witherspoon took her son Ronnie to a night out at the theatre. While waiting for his mother to procure their tickets, Ronnie was possessed by a demon who used little Ronnie's body to contact Spawn. The demon threatened Spawn and warned that Hell was watching his actions. When the threats were finished, the demon released Ronnie to his mother.
