Imelda (1)

A somber ghost who came to reside within the House on Marston Street. Poor Imelda became pregnant to another man while her husband was away at war. She sought a back alley abortion, and later died due to a resulting infection.

After her death, she came to reside in the House along with a number of other ghosts. There she pondered the baby she would have named Josephina after her grandmother, as she and the other ghosts were held captive by a demon living in the cellar. After Spawn came to rescue Twitch's son Max, however, the house and all the ghosts within were sucked into a vortex and disappeared.

Imelda (2)

Imelda was a paranoid and angry old woman. She lived in a rent stabilized apartment in the ill-fated New Vista Apartments building. When the residents of her building began committing bizarre acts of violence thanks to the Violator, Imelda refused to leave.

Instead she holed up in her apartment with cleaning products in hand, and tried to make her home a clean, 'happy' place. Unfortunately, when she opened the garbage chute, the Violator (who had been trapped inside) leapt out and decapitated her.

Immaculata (1)

Alias: Sister Immaculata

An angel of the Seraphic Huntress class. Immaculata hunted hellspawn for centuries until a battle with a particularly formidable Spawn in the ancient city of Illium.

Near defeat, Immaculata summoned all strength she had left and annihilated the hellspawn. Unfortunately, she also destroyed the entire city, killing untold thousands of innocent people. Fraught with grief and guilt, Immaculata quit hunting and lived a life of devotion on Earth.

She eventually settled in France during the Dark Ages as a sister in the Abbey of Sainte Barbe. When the hellspawn Covenant appeared at her doorstep, she felt called to her duty once again. In her confrontation with Covenant, however, she decided once and for all to renounce her mantel and her calling.

Soon after, while rescuing a baby from the burning abbey, Immaculata was murdered by Cogliostro. Cogliostro kept her ceremonial headdress as a trophy and eventually placed it in his Archives of the Hellspawn. When Spawn was given a tour of the archives, the headdress and its ribbons attacked Spawn - they had a bit of life in them yet.
