The Customer saw him and attacked the boy, eventually killing him with his cane.

After his death, Silas came to reside in the House along with a number of other ghosts. They were held captive by a demon living in the cellar and unable to leave. After Spawn came to rescue Twitch's son Max, however, the house and all the ghosts within were sucked into a vortex and disappeared.

Simmonsville

The military facility that came to be known as Simmonsville was used by Jason Wynn as the home of Project Ragnarok. It was here that 47 test subjects were experimented on in an attempt to creat a superhuman.

Wynn had originally schemed of creating a human/angel hybrid and negotiated the project with agents of Heaven. But secretly, he accepted a deal with Hell to deliver a perfect human subject to become the next hellspawn.

After Ragnarok was shut down in failure, the site eventually became the location for the military testing of a substance called psychoplasm, or necroplasm. Wynn had brokered a deal with the demon Malebolgia to obtain the substance. The name Simmonsville was coined because the Necroplasm fused with the memories of Al Simmons and created an evil collage of his past.

During testing, Simmonsville became the battleground for the first confrontation between Spawn and a Redeemer. Afterwards, it was mostly burned to the ground by Spawn.

Years later, two former patients of Ragnarok: Jim Downing and Richard Masullo, made their way to the remains of Simmonsville to find clues about their past. There they learned much of what they wanted to know from Jason Wynn himself.

Simon Pure
Simon Pure was the last leader of the vampire cult called The Kingdom. The Kingdom was a group of vampires that believed (incorrectly) that they were descended from the 12 apostles of Jesus.

They viewed themselves as God's chosen race and awaited a cleansing in which the wicked would be wiped from the Earth and the vampires would rise to power. Simon Pure was a particularly religious zealot who took it upon himself to initiate the prophesized "cleansing".

He and his followers were viewed with distaste by the rest of the vampire race and the vrykolakas. Despite this, he created an army of 777 vampire warriors to begin their assault on mankind in NY.

The warriors' eyes were blinded by Pure, but they were then gifted with a "second sight" which allowed them to see sinners marked with an "S" on their foreheads. Simon sent the army into the city to slaughter all the sinners, but his plan was foiled when Spawn absorbed all of New York's sins into himself.

The Kingdom was lured into a trap in which Spawn turned Simon's own followers against him and then tricked them into sinning against their own. They were all then sent to Hell through a doorway created by the demons Ab and Zab.

Sin-Eaters
Hell creatures with long spindly legs and large bulbous heads. They feed on the sins of man by appearing to humans as sins from their past. While their prey is distracted with the hallucination, the Sin-Eaters latch onto them and feed on the sins, eventually resulting in death for the victim.

When Ab and Zab opened gateways to Hell in a fundamentalist-Christian 'Hell House', the doors led to Sin-Eaters - ready and eager to feed on the sinners who entered.
