Satan's Representative*

Spawn met with an unnamed representative of Satan, and the two of them discussed the nature of time and the free will of mankind.

Spawn was then presented with an opportunity to save the lives of a boy and his father in the past, but he chose not to intervene for fear of changing the timeline.

Satan's representative was impressed and decided to offer him a deal that he wouldn't be able to refuse: his human life back with Wanda, if he relenquishes his symbiote to Satan. Spawn refused, however, and lashed out by wounding the Representative and causing her to lose her ability to transform her appearance any longer.

Relaying Spawn's refusal to Satan, the representative was nonetheless rewarded with a restoration of her powers, though she remained permanently scarred on her face. She then recruited Hell's Guard to help block the path of Simmons.

After Simmons successfully reached Satan and was reunited with Wanda, the Representative and a number of other demons joined in the fight. The representative targeted Wanda in particular.

Serpentine Addendum
Written in a secret code and brought back from the crusades by the Knights Templar. The Addendum is a tome of knowledge that was stored within the Archives of the Hellspawn.

Spawn consulted the Addendum when searching for information on a bizarre mark left on the necks of murder victims in and around Rat City. He found the mark within the book, which listed something about the "hands of evil" and the "vessel of wickedness."

It went on to say that the mark is created as the soul exits the body to be condemned to Hell for the crimes it has committed - a process called Diabolus Interium.
