The Black Knight is told his past by Cogliostro and then curses both Heaven and Hell. He then rides off into the woods until he is summoned by the mysterious Three Sisters of the Morrigan.

Meanwhile, Rivalin is desperate to find a way to save his dying wife but regrets making a pact with the Three Sisters. His man at arms, Guy DuBlanc, sulks alone after his bitter defeat at the hands of the Black Knight.
