Mr. Murray |
|
Mr. Murray was living in St. Anthony's hospital on an oxygen ventilator. He had acute emphysema due to smoking from a young age and he nearly died when St. Anthony's was destroyed by a series of explosions. Luckily for him, he was transferred out of the destruction to another hospital in the same ambulance as Jim Downing.
Miraculously, something about being near Jim cured Mr. Murray's disease entirely, and after a few days he walked out with the lungs of an Olympian. Later, he recounted his recovery to reporter Marc Rosen. |
