- There are five variants for this issue: three standard covers (evenly distributed), a corrected edition, and an employee edition.
- This is cover 'C' (sketch). This edition was intended to be printed with all art in black & white, however there was a misprint, and the interior pages were printed in color. A corrected edition was subsequently released.


At a protest in Washington DC, Al Simmons confronts another demon to question him about the death of his wife. After getting the information he wanted, Spawn dispatches the demon - before being confronted himself by an angel called Godsend. A battle ensues, but Spawn still has more surprises up his sleeve for the angel – and the humans.
