Animation to Books

Post by G3orgi3B »

Hi,

I'm new to the world of spawn and have just finished watching the 90's animated series, I'm now absolutely hooked.
I've never been a comic book collector but I really want to know more about the spawn story; does the animation have the same storyline as that of the comics or should I start reading the comics right from the beginning?

Hello and welcome aboard! The animated series, while great, does not follow the same storyline as the comics. Most of the general concepts are the same but specific incidents are different. I would recommend starting the comics from issue 1 if you can. A good option would be the Spawn Origins books - the softcovers are small collections of 6 issues of the comics. They are easy to find and come out on a regular basis. Good luck!

Many thanks for the reply; I'll be ordering the first origins in the next few days. :D
