I wanted a return of the clock, now I can look forward to it when I get to the issue.

I have read the first 130 issues or so of the main series..and through the reading, I realized that Spawn's clock ceased to exist. Was this ever explained? It makes sense that after he defeats Malebolgia and becomes the unofficial ruler of the 8th Circle of Hell, that he doesn't have a counter anymo...
