The Ghost on the Hill (A Child's Crusade Part 2 of 5)
Since Maeve rescued Covenant
from his cave prison, he has been training her army of children in
the ways of battle. He doubts that his efforts are worthwhile, but
continues to help Maeve in her quest because she seems to speak the
truth. When soldiers arrive at their camp to accuse Maeve of witchcraft,
the children's army has its first taste of battle.
Elsewhere, Cogliostro schemes at reaching ancient powers beyond
the reach of Heaven and Hell in order to free himself from the curse he is under. |
