Michael Williams

Son of a wealthy English captain of the army, and a poor black servant girl. Michael was told his father was dead, but he knew the truth. He was bitter at his father for not being there for he and his mother.

When WWI broke out, Michael enlisted as a white man (for he had light skin) and was accepted. His mother made his father, Thomas Coram, promise to look after him, which Thomas did by placing Michael in his battalion.

At the Battle of the Somme, Michael was killed by an artillery blast, but when Mammon appeared, Thomas bargained his soul in exchange for Michael's life. Michael woke up and walked off the field of battle as his father was sent to Hell.

He lived a long and happy life - he moved to the United States with his mother where he became a jazz musician. He married and eventually had many children and grand-children. All the while, Mammon watched from afar, as one of Michael's grandchildren was none other than Wanda Blake.

Danny proceeded to murder the other two, after which Spawn revealed he knew the truth all along - that Danny was not innocent. He then dragged Danny off for his own, much worse, punishment.

When Micky mistakenly thought Eddie was making a joke and making a fool of him, Micky stabbed him and left him for dead within Rat City. Later, while he lay dying, Eddie Beckett became the being known as the Heap.

Mike the Messenger

A messenger of God, Mike is a human, but not “the normal kind”. He was once an angel in one of Heaven's battalions with Belial. But Mike chose to give up everything in order to come to earth and help Al find Wanda, a choice he made after seeing what Belial had done to Wanda.

Though he became human, Mike was still in direct contact with God and he began to act as a sort of guide for the newly reborn Al Simmons. He also still posessed a number of powers, including being able to create angelic wings of energy and fly.

Along with the Violator, Mike acted as a "key" to allow Al to enter The Tunnel of Hell. Along the way he bickered with the demon, they both greatly disliked one another, but they both had made an agreement with Al to accompany him to the Tunnel.

A little boy living in Malice, Pennsylvania that was tormented by 3 bullies - the Miller Boys. The Miller boys were known to be bullies by just about everyone, but no one knew just how dangerous they had become except little Mikey.

The summer after Urizen, the Miller boys were playing on the Devil's Right Hand and a small shard of the rock went into Preston's foot. He somehow absorbed or released a portion of Urizen's power and shared it with his brothers. Suddenly, they found they could do things with their minds - like making their teacher almost choke to death.

On Halloween, the boys slaughtered pigs and wore their heads as masks to torment little Mikey. Preston lost control of the evil and began to morph into a monster, but Spawn arrived and forced Urizen out of him.

After that day, Preston was terrified of the dark and unable to leave his home, while his brothers never spoke again.
